Idler pulley - might want to keep a spare. What spare parts do you guys keep on board

I was out on the Gulf of Mexico this weekend and my high temp warning went off on my starboard engine. I came in on one engine and after inspection it was obvious the idler pulley literally disintegrated. I was surprised that it is made of plastic. I replaced it and put on a new serpentine belt while I was at it. I will keep the old belt as a spare. I plan on buying a spare pulley as this would have been a 10 minute fix at sea. I can only guess that the pulley partially or completely seized and the heat made it break down.

What do you guys keep as spare parts on board?

What do you guys keep as spare parts on board?

IMO spare parts should include items that prevent a shut down of an engine or prevent water from entering the boat:

distributor cap, distributor rotor, distributor ignition sensor, ignition coil, fuel/water separator filter, IAC valve, serpentine belt and pulley, hose clamps of various sizes, water proof repair tape, water proof repair putty.....

other things like a bad spark plug or bad plug wire won't shut the engine down and can be repaired back at the dock....

I keep several spare Racor fuel filters on board, for the propulsion engines as well as the generator. Knock on wood, I've never had a problem in the past but I've heard all it takes is one bad fillup and it can plug fuel filters quickly.

I also keep a spare v-belt for the Cummins and a full Onan spares kit for the gen. I should probably keep a few more things on board such as impellers. Sometimes when you have a breakdown it's a lot easier to find a mechanic than it is to get replacement parts.
