Idle Air Control?

I have a 2005 Sea Ray 200 Select. I was in a lake this weekend pulling tubers and wakeboarders. I noticed that the performance just didn't seem up to par. This morning I got the intermittant 2 audible beeps every minute or so and if I'd go to idle from plane the engine would stall. The engine would start again without having to give it throttle but would stall most times i gave it gas and went back to idle. I'm debating on taking it in to the dealer but would hate to find that its just the Idle Air Controller that I could have replaced myself. Any ideas or recommendations?

That is exactly the warning for bad valve for a 4.3 and a 5.7.

By valve do you mean the IAC?

2 beeps intermittantly is the sound for a IAC interface problem. Had it myself and confirmed with the Merc diagnostic tool.

edit: 2 beeps can be for other problems as well.. confirm via electronic code reader.. or replace parts and hope you get lucky..

2 beeps is the sound for about 17 different problems. Have a tech throw a computer on it to confirm what it is.
