Identify an SEI Lower Unit

Are there any visible characterstics or markings on an SEI lower unit that one could distinguish between it and an original OEM from Mercruiser? Trying to determine if a seasoned Mercruiser mechanic should be able to tell the difference simply by looking at it.

Uh. It's pretty simple. I believe it says Sterndrive Engineering on it but it will also be marked "SE 116" or "SE106" etc.

I had an SEI drive put on my 210 Monaco last year. As Scott said it did come in two halves that we assembled. But as I remember it it was more than just a sticker slapped on the case that marked the "SE 106". I thought it was more of something embossed or cast into it. I remember that I was impressed with the quality.
