I'd rather not be boating.............

Been there, done that. :grin:

We anchored out for Air Expo 2005 at NAS Patuxent River. Unlike the video, there were many other boats anchored out as well. The Blues were there and put on a great show as always. Another highlight for me was watching Dale "Snort" Snodgrass (CAPT, USN Ret.) perform in his F-86. Snort is someone I served under when I was active duty. He is also known for his low passes during airshows (even lower than the blues). It was a great afternoon on the water.

Wow... that's really low. The shock wave is bouncing off the water.

I've been buzzed by F-18's before out by their target range on the Bay but they were never that low. Probably more like 500 feet or so. You can't hear them coming and you see them pass you before you hear it. I think they purposely mess with boaters from time to time.
 
Wow, that was sort of scary. At the end of the day it just shows you how extraordinarily well our men and women of our Armed Forces are trained. God bless them and God Bless this beautiful Country of ours!!!!
