Ive got the original icemaker in A 1985 Dancer 34' that needs repair. Anyone have success having one repaired or finding another appliance to fit the hole?

i only use it to keep drinks cold so could do without the icemaking component if needed.

Curious what others have done...thanks.

Rebuilt our 97 ice -maker a few times.Really nothing to it.If its a compressor issue maybe its time for a new one.I think I paid around 800 when my other finally took a cr*p.

I've had good luck fixing several ice makers over the years. If the compressor is good the rest of the parts are relatively inexpensive to replace. Search online and you'll find a troubleshooting chart that walks you through the process of determining what needs to be replaced. Pretty simply

Sorry but I never removed the one from my 1989 34 so I can't help you. I think I remember reading about it on the thread for 1985 - 1989 34's so if you search there or ask there you can probably get some help.

Found screws well hidden under side trim. Now gotta find someone who will fix it.
