Besides Yeti, what suggestions for keeping ice on anchor stays for 7 days plus?

Also want to clarify, if buying at marinas or running generator and bring ice maker or a freezer onboard.. and also was referring to being in Bahamas for 2 weeks..

How much ice do you use? Just a few drinks or loads?

I recently decided to try a little ice maker. I got the one pictured for $100. Works on 110v Ac. Makes about two-three glasses of small ice cubes in ten minutes. No refrigeration to it so the ice will not keep, but since it makes them pretty quickly, and it is small enough to pack away, it seems to be doing what I want. We don’t cruise as long as you either (280), maybe a couple of days and only two of us.

I like mine. Don’t forget to bring water from home because you pour your own water in the ice maker then turn it on. I like it that way because water quality and taste vary in different areas. I bring some gallon jugs of water with me for the ice maker. Good luck. Wish I were planning a Bahamas run. Best I get is Destin!!!

Put that boat on a trailer and come over... Bahamas is an easy trip in the summer

I got a good friend living in Tequesta. We have worked out the details already. The Bimini trip is a strong possibility next summer as soon as we get the wife’s orthopedic issues resolved. Already got the boat on a great triple axle trailer waiting and ready....oh, to keep the thread relevant, my little ice maker will surely be coming with me.
:)

Most marinas have ice, and I'm no germophobe but I remember the days of working in food/restaurants when no one seemed to ever clean out the ice makers. Being able to make it quickly on-board is a win-win. Can't wait to try this out!

My brother owns a small ice machine repair business called Ice Proz. You are totally correct. I avoid getting ice from commercial ice machines. What we have seen in those things will curl your toes. Ignorance is bliss!!!!
That is why I just bring my own or get a refrigerated drink from the cooler.
