IAC VALVE FOR 8.1

I once bought a in tank fuel pump from autozone, I got the cheap one instead of the more expensive bosch, boy did I regret that...…...

Tried this once on a XJ-8 Jag. I finally gave up and let the experts do it with the Bosch. Even the Bosch pump gave up the ghost (I don't run my cars on "fumes", which is killer on fuel pumps) and thankfully they replaced it under warranty.

Would any repairs on a boat be covered under a warranty besides the original manufacturers warranty???? Seriously doubt it.

I hear ya Dave, just don't know what your getting anymore with all this foreign cheap made parts

Just make sure whatever you get comes with the replacement gasket. Also the IAC mufflers will need to be sourced separate (most likely locally) but they are cheap.

I ended up getting the Standard AC 423. The gasket that comes with them is too thick (rubber). I’m going to use an OEM gasket I have. Thanks everyone.

I usually base this on the effort involved to replace. For simple replacements I do not mind. For something like dropping a fuel tank... I would probably go with a higher grade. Just did this with my Son's Jeep - bearing were shot and we went with Timkens rather than the cheap ones.

Good choice!
