you can buy a hull project form ebay or a refit with warranty3yrs

when it comes to a boat age is a number... a well NEW fitted boat is worth every penny.

I think the price is a bit high too. The ad say's "refitted", not NEW fitted. It looks to be in excellent condition, though not any better than mine or WTP's boat. The electronics look very ordinary too. I'd say he is about $10,000 too high, especially in today's economy. Nice boat, though...

A guy on the next dock actually looked at the boat, so I went over to see it. Nice camper, but otherwise very average.

This is a 1986 Sea Ray 340 Express. This boat is very spacious and in excellent condition, and has many extras. This cruiser is perfect for weekend or extended getaways and has been a live aboard for a single person. With a new 7.0 kw Westerbeke generator ($5700) installed in '07 and all new electronics she is a wonderful vessel. I've invested thousands of dollars and hours keeping this vessel up to par! Take her away for a fraction of the "New ($245,000)" or even "Replacement ($185,000)" values.

I always get a kick out of comparing the new boat price to used. I am sort of curious as to how the replacement cost has been calculated.

An identical boat/same condition, is for sale here in Kewaunee for $9,999. Thought about it, but she ain't trailerable, so I didn't buy it.
