While it is a great boat, in great condition, with great options, he is WAY outta the ball park with this price IMO.

If he gets anywhere near his asking price, mine is going for sale the next day!

$$$1,000.00 dollars a foot is fair market price.

$$$1,000.00 dollars a foot is fair market price.

If you want to give me $27k USD for my tub, I will deliver to your door, full of fuel and the fridge full of you whichever beer you like! :smt043

And mine is in just as nice shape, and 2 years newer than his!

I would LOVE to get that kind of $$ for mine. I'd have a 32'er in my laneway by sundown.

Becks Dark w/frosty mug:)You do realize I deal with refitting boats and when done to new the boat cost is $1,000. a foot+heated storage is more..
you can buy a hull project form ebay or a refit with warranty3yrs

when it comes to a boat age is a number... a well NEW fitted boat is worth every penny.

I think the price is a bit high too. The ad say's "refitted", not NEW fitted. It looks to be in excellent condition, though not any better than mine or WTP's boat. The electronics look very ordinary too. I'd say he is about $10,000 too high, especially in today's economy. Nice boat, though...

Agreed.. over $10,000 too high.. But on good side, the boat look good, nice condition for its age.

Think about how much cash we all have into ours. forget about time because time is worth, oops priceless.

Delusions of grandeur.

This is a 1986 Sea Ray 340 Express. This boat is very spacious and in excellent condition, and has many extras. This cruiser is perfect for weekend or extended getaways and has been a live aboard for a single person. With a new 7.0 kw Westerbeke generator ($5700) installed in '07 and all new electronics she is a wonderful vessel. I've invested thousands of dollars and hours keeping this vessel up to par! Take her away for a fraction of the "New ($245,000)" or even "Replacement ($185,000)" values.

I always get a kick out of comparing the new boat price to used. I am sort of curious as to how the replacement cost has been calculated.

An identical boat/same condition, is for sale here in Kewaunee for $9,999. Thought about it, but she ain't trailerable, so I didn't buy it.
