I just need to vent , don't you hate it when you put something up for sale, say on club searay, plus other sites. make a deal with a member and they say they will send out a check and they never do! even after rechecking with them that they want it and they just forget twice to send it out and never do.mean while you have taken down all your other ads and now have to relist it again.
thanks
end of rant

Yes we hate it too! Unfortunately, it's just indicative of most of our society today all around: no ethics or morals and self first. The sh!! we have to put up with from the general public in our business just about drives us insane............thank God for boating!

Let's just get to the point....whatcha selling

Never hold it for anyone. First one to show up with the cash gets it. I'll give them the best description I can possibly give of what I'm selling. It's up to them to verify whether it will fit their boat.

Too many people just wasting time to allow them to waste mine.

If it's a carb for my genny, I will fly the cash down myself

I put a bid in on a part on e-bay and forgot about it. I won the bid to my surprise and got the notice but I didn't have the cash right then. I called the seller and explained my situation and he was more than willing to wait a couple days for his money. The add said that shipping would be my responsibility but after our talk he shipped them for a fee and I used pay pal to cover the charge.

I felt badly that I had not saved to cover the bid but I thought I would not win it. Lesson learned on my part.

I sell equipment on Craiglist, trader.com and ebay all the time. My stuff stays for sale and I continue to answer responses until I get the cash. I clearly say, "It stays for sale until I see money." Even when I get a deposit, I continue to sell and take back up offers until the check or paypal clears the bank. I'm sorry it buyer misses out.....you snooze;you lose.

I have no issue with that. At least your buyers know if they don't send the cash then the part may be gone when they finally do.

I sent a guy my JRC 1000 radar and NEVER got paid for it. :smt013. That check is still in the mail after 2yrs !!!. :wow:

If you must know, The guy is from a boating site that I belong to. :smt021

on an archery site I belong to we just send out the local terrorists to collect or "convince" them to pay up
deals rarely go bad on there now
