I lost one of my anchors last year and I need to replace it. Currently I have 14 lbs. Danforth which has worked fine but I like the simplicity of a delta style anchor. My question is how do they work in sandy to rocky bottoms?

This according to Boat US...
"Great in sand and on rocky bottoms, weeds and grass. Does not do well in soft bottoms. Generally made of galvanized metal, though they are available in stainless steel."

I have a Delta Fast-Set for my 310DA that works very well in the soft muddy bottom of the Chesapeake Bay. It holds very well and comes up easily too. The type of bottom you'll be setting in does play a part in your anchor selection.
