I think I am just giving up on the assumption that there is a decent mechanic in my area. From Marine Max to a friend referring me to Singleton I am just having NO luck. Someone has the bad mojo and whammy on my boating hopes!

I just finished my B Service with Singleton Marine on a good referral from 2-3 of my dock mates. They came picked up the boat, serviced it, and returned it to my slip and emailed me the bill. Told the wife yesterday I just want to go check everything out before paying the bill only to find my 340 banging against the dock because someone who returned the boat attached the spring lines to the forward cleats! WTF! Kind of obvious you are attached in the wrong spot when the lines are in the water!!:smt013:smt013:smt018

Ripped my back molding off my swim platform and knicked the heck out of it and 2 nicks in the gelcoat on the starboard side. Popped the hatch.....oil and water in the bottom of my bilge...no antifreeze in the reservoir for the generator which will not run......oil pressure 10 psi high when running and 20 psi low coming off plane when running..........and seemed to run a little hotter on the gauge.........

Apparently I need to make a donation to the boating GODS for past wrongs.......anyone know where to turn??!!??:smt089:huh:

Another good example of why I do everything possible myself. Sorry those morons damaged your boat.

Sorry to hear. Now you remember when I said something about tempting the boating gods on that other thread......(Grin)
Hope it works out. What did Singleton say when you called them?

Sounds like my luck Scott. I got a blown engine on our 65hr. seadoo as a result of a 65 hr service. Wonder what went wrong? Good luck Scott, Hope it all works out for ya.

Nothing as of yet. i emailed, tweeted, and callled but no call back. I certainly hope they are men of their word and will handle everything to put a smile on my face. I am too chicken to get just anyone to work on the boat so I was hoping to build a good relationship......stupid me!

Well......nothing but reasons and explanations for everything.....or as I call them excuses. I guess most of these guys think because we pay to have some of this stuff done we never look our boats over or pay any attention to the gauges. I suppose I will top everything off myself and clean my bilge and fix my molding myself so I do not run the risk of another scratch or gouge appearing where it always "was" or molding coming loose "as already noted" in the mechanics notes (secret notes that is!) He did say if I would bring it over to the marina on the weekend when the shop is slower they will pull the boat and drain the bilge and put some screws in the molding.

I can see it now...........dream sequence.........me, my 3 kids and their friends........my wife with steam rising off her head and piercing eyes aimed at me......standing there waiting, waiting, waiting, for them to correct their mistakes on a 90+ degree Georgia Saturday...........

My wife is going to kill me I know it.
