I saw this coming a while back when you made some other stupid comments. I don't live under a rock or work for corporations. I actually employee people and pay a buttload of taxes and can clearly see what is going on! So continue LYAO while we go broke with all this big goobment...OVER!

What does me doing ok have to do with anything we are discussing? Where is the fairness of me doing ok with the hours we put in versus goobment taking from me and giving to those who choose not to work... or even illegal??
 
That's the way it's been as long as I can remember, I didn't say anything about being fair BTW........ I too don't like the fact about supporting those who are too lazy to work, and yes, even illegals.

You should be real concerned as well as your retirement and 401k's or whatever you plan on retiring with is not looking good at actually being there when your ready for it! Better yet, if it's based on the dollar, what do ya have IF there is no more dollar? The Romans never expected to fall!
 
Your absolutely right!! Only problem is when we elect new officials into office we believe they might really do some change and good right?? Only problem is after getting into office they are poisioned by lobbyists, corporations, ect to do what they want and are willing to pay these officials dearly for not making change. So, I take it you don't like unions???? LOL

There was a time and place for unions. I think we need certain ones for safety but they need to go back to the drawing board! Talking about corruption and waste! That is most unions.

The press totally destroys any one with the brass that can make a difference! You know, one of these days these "evil corporations" will be gone and what will we have? Obama was not "poisoned after getting in office", he was "groomed" for the position!

This is totally just my opinion and how I see things. I am not swayed nor do I gather my opinion from MSM. Strictly my experience while here on this earth. I have done alot of things in my life, been to alot of places and seen alot of things...some good some bad and some I wish I had never!!! I will fight for what is right and right now our system is SCREWED with a two sided corrupt system!

I work for a power company. Our plant in non-union. The rest are union. They negotiate the wages and benifits for the union guys first, and then set our wages higher. Cracks me up that not only are they making less per hour, but have to pay dues on top of that. Most unions, especially the UAW, have run thier course and need to go the way of the dodo bird.
 
:grin:Not everything about unions are good, as with anything there are bad, in my profession (25+yrs.) It's the unions that set the pay standard and force the others to pay a near or same kind of compensation. In the Airline industry, if there were no unions, the companies could get away w/murder as far as compensation. This I know to be true!!:grin:

And I suppose the Bush tax cuts do not affect you? For sake of avoiding an argument, lets say you are now in a 10 % bracket and have taxes owed on $50,000.00, ($5,000.00 owed in taxes) well when these "Bush taxes cuts" expire you are going to a 15% bracket or now you will pay $7,5000.00 out in taxes on the same $50,000.00 in income. an additional over $200.00 a month less to have a available for spending.

Believe me all of this lets the tax cuts expire is not going to just affect the rich, but all of those who DO pay income taxes in to the Gov'Mint.

I understand your point, but the tax cuts benefited the rich to a much greater degree. He got the legislation passed early in his first term, as he knew the trillion plus dollar wars in the arab world were about to commence and he knew he couldn't get a tax cut passed after that. Just seems to me we could have done the job in Afghanastan and Iraq much more surgically, and economically than going in there with guns blazing.

This is why the problem will never get fixed. Everyone's slinging the BS while ALL of the politicians LTAO. I'm done arguing with everyone about this.

FREEDOM is what we are supposed to be all about her in the USA. Money is personal property, just like your house, car, and wardrobe. No one should be able to simply say "You make X, so we're gonna take Y". People don't realize that "tax the rich until they are poor" means that if you are poor now, you will never be rich because they are going to take it from you if and when you get there. It's like the NHL saying "No matter who wins the championship, we aren't going to give them the Stanley cup.".

This is why our country is dying. Because some people might fail, we won't let anyone succeed.

I still can't understand why a flat 5% tax rate, both on income and sales isn't fair. A person making $1,000,000 a year and buying a $50,000 car would pay $50K in income taxes and $2500 in sales taxes while a person making $10,000 a year and buying a $4,000 car would pay $500 income taxes, and $200 sales tax. Perfectly fair, and naturally "progressive", if you're into that sort of thing...

It's the gotta stick it to somebody attitude that just torques my lugnuts.
