Hydro racer killed on Lake Mayfield

Unfortunately last Saturday a hydroplane racer was killed on turn 1 of the race course. He was making a move to the inside lane and was broadsided by another racer. His boat sank and it wasn't good. Racing is fun to watch but you don't want people to die.

You know, you have to go some time. My best friend died in an F-16 CFIT, rolling, pulling, ejecting, but just a little too late. He was living in Miami, flying for American Airlines, flying fighters, and boating in a Donzi in Biscayne Bay. Now, he's watching us try to live the same dream. Death is easy for the dead. It's hell on the living.
