My GPS Antenna was claimed by the storm. I have a 97 era B&G network quad set up and this drives my autopilot. Is this a universal GPS antenna? Its an 8 wire antenna and mounts in a terminal block at the dash.

Thanks....

You can find the B&G Quad gear manuals on line or, if they have gone, I can send them to you. As connected by design it uses a proprietary protocol to communicate with the autopilot through the B&G bus. But the autopilot can receive NMEA from non B&G gps via a second connector.

Do you know anything about the GPS antenna? Does it need to be a B&G unit? If I run NMEA input from another device do I need to disconnect the B&G bus wires and how do I id them?

Thanks,
Ed
