I have been looking at alternatives to load a dingy as well. I just bought my boat in the fall and have not had it in the water yet.( It is turning into a very long winter) It is a 2006 380 and I am not sure of the height of the platform out of the water. How high is your 380 and are you concerned of the lift height.I am only looking at loading an 8'6" zodiak with a 5 hp engine so only about 150 # in total.

Also my problem is that my transom door is centred so to open it with the dingy on I need about 21 " of the 36 " platform for the swing of the door. Do you know yet where the inside edge of the dingy will end up on the platform ?

Has anyone installed the h2o Davits on a 03- sea ray 340. The 340 has a high platform from the water. I have an 06 340 and have been looking at these Davits to eliminate taking off the dinghy motor. If anyone has any pics or info on installing on a 340 it would be appreciated.

I have been using my Hurley for two years now with a 8'6" Zodiac RIB & a 5 HP Honda 4 stroke. No real issues hauling up the dingy & motor by myself yet. I will try to download pictures, haven't tried that yet, will have to read up tonight.

I have a 9" RIB with a 9.9 merc 2 stroke. Looking for mounts for my 07 310 and Hurley is at the top of my list. I have the same height of platform to water issue as Jaay757 (just shy of 2"). I'm being told the H20 davits may not work because of the distance. Any info would be appreciated and pics would be awesome! :smt038

Tobrie7 if ur platform is the same height I spoke with hurley and they recommended the 10 inch mount for the swim platform on the 34. I think this will help reach the water line. Hurley is also at the top of my list as I don't want a lot of hardware on the swim platform and I think the h2o looks like a nice davit.

We also just got our boat just in the fall, making for a long winter(-36C low last night). I'm guessing the platform is between 8 to 10"'s from the waterline.

Grayzone you have an extended platform which drops down toward the water I think from the picture. I am more like Tobrie7 's problem where I am anticipating a very high platform to water height. I think he means close to 2 ft not inches.

The lift even with the extensions may be extreme. My dingy will be less than 180 # but will the angle be too much for an easy lift ?

Any thoughts ?

I had a Nautley DinghyRamp on my 2008 340DA and on my 2005 420DA for a year, both swimplatforms were roughly 2ft off the water. The trick to retrieve the dinghy is weight, my dinghy with motor was roughly 175 lbs. I could retrieve myself but it took sometime figuring out the bestway, 2 people no issues.

My 310 is 18" from top of platform to water.

But I don't think I can fit a 9' RIB there (9" as you wrote will fit perfectly) - I have measured and found that with the 10" mounts I can juussst fit the Merc Dynamic Rib 250/260 (model names dependent on where you live...) - but it is the width that is the limiting factor.

Looks great - what model of the h2o's did you go with on the 380 platform - the 6", 8", or 10" mount? Was there any reason you decided to go with the outboard on the transom door side? I ask because I assume the mounts need to be installed with a plan as to which way the dingy will go on for weight distribution and wouldn't be reversible.

10" mounts
If you interchange the davits I could put the motor on the other side.
The way our slip is we access for starboard.

Hi Tobrie7 ,I am a new owner of 2008 310 and also was wondering about the type of a davits system for my boat ,at Hurly they advice me to get the 8" but I am reading that the 10" will be right the size ,Which davit did you get and how are they working for you? and if you have pic would be great.
