Just installed the new Hurley H2O brackets. Haven't had a chance to try them yet but will this weekend.
Anybody tried these?

I have a set I just installed this season. Just returned from a trip to Block Island RI. They work fine, easy to load and unload. I have 4 tie down points to keep the Dinghy from moving while underway. Mine slip into the old Weaver davits.

Hi Russ

Sure, I'll post a few pictures with the Dinghy on and off this Friday.

I've had mine on for about a month now. So far I'm very pleased with them. No issues yet.

My 2002 380 is about 18 inches off the water. I was one of three boats that added the H2O's on my dock.
A 38 Sundancer and a 42 Sabre were the other two. The Saber is also about 18 inches, but the 38 is much much higher. I wouldn't say his is easy on. I'll take pictures of all three.

I found these photos I took while I was installing the tie downs. The engine was removed to more easily move the dinghy around, while I was doing the installation.

DC380, I installed the older Hurleys last year when purchased the boat and it works fine with our 8'6" zodiac with 5 hp Honda. I did not install the hold downs yet. My question is, did you screw your hold downs directly to the swim platform or did you use backing plates with bolts & nuts? Not what to do. Thanks

Tony

Hi Tony

I used nuts and bolts, a lock washer and 2 sets of washers, a small one slightly smaller then the nut, and then the biggest washer I could fit on the nuts. So the entire back of the tie down acts like a backing plate. I sealed everything with 4200.
