Towed my mothers boat home today and it has a chartplotter. She is selling the boat and told me to remove it and keep it. Don't think I want to do that. It is mounted on a Ram mount so not flush mounted but still don't want to leave holes everywhere.

The cover on it said Hummingbird and I glanced at it and it said something like 188c but when I do a search for 188c it pulls up Garmin units?
Any ideas? Didn't have my phone or would have taken a pic.
I'm gonna try to get more info on it later this week when I go out there to pull the batteries and cover it up (it's under their big carport now)

Well this is odd...just realized our boat has the Garmin 188c. Definitely not the same one as in hers. Ours is pretty old and hers looks pretty new

Either leave the base for the RAM mount or remove it, as well, and run three flat-head screws in with finish washers. It won't make a difference on the sale.

Also concerned about removing the wiring and transducer, etc. Not sure if it is transom mount or thru-hull. Was in a hurry today trying to get done with her boat to get back home to finish winterizing mine so didn't take much time checking it out
