Has anyone tried using clear polyethylene sheeting (not pvc graphics wrap) to protect your perfectly polished gel coat from black streak staining? Any stain removers do a poor job of washing it out and seems to remove wax in the process.

Have you tried boat erasers?

Are we talking streaks like from black fenders?

No, I'm talking about black streaks from canvas snaps. Also dirt that runs off the foredeck in just that one spot that stains the hull below. Erasers don't work.

Roll Off is about the only thing that removes mine. Allegedly does not remove wax.
