On Saturday I attended a seminar (guy in the video was the instructor) demonstrating the 3M Professional Gelcoat Finishing System. Good stuff.
Personally I like all the 3M buffing and polishing products, but prefer Collinite Wax.

Very nice blue sides! But its new so what do ya expect!
For polishing the last couple years I've been AMAZED by the results with 3M Extra Cut Compound #06060. I follow that up with some 3M glaze in the cosmetic areas and wax over that. Every year the boat seems to be getting shinier! The Extra Cut Compound is tough enough to remove mild to medium chalking without being too coarse and leaving major swirl marks. It does leave minor swirls that the glaze covers but on a white boat its hard to see.
Compound with a soft wool pad and glaze with a foam waffle pad. Wax applied by hand.
PS: Be careful around deck hardware when using a high speed rotary buffer. It AMAZING how fast things happen when it snags on something. Good luck!
