How Would like to pay these gas prices?

In the Toronto area pump price of regular gas is around CDN$1.00/litre x 4 = $4.00/US Gallon. (Cdn dollar roughly = USD lately). Marina gas is about 15 to 20 cents higher so about $4.50/gallon. 225 gallons to fill = a bit over 1 boat dollar to fill the tank.:wow:

Its no wonder I tell my wife she does not have to wait around the fuel dock while I fill the tanks.
 
They do use a lot of gas for just getting around. Remember there are no roads out there, so travel is by 4-wheeler, snow machine or boat.

My son told me today regular unleaded in Anchorage is $3.35 a gallon
 
Ha, ha! It´s always funny go hear US citizens complaining about high prices on gasoline. In Sweden, 1 US gallon costs about 8 USD and diesel is about 7 USD/gallon. Despite that, we still have most recreational boats/capita in the world.
 
Of course you are completely right. We are totally screwed by the swedish politicians. One of the environmental political parts tries to win the next election by promising to RAISE the taxes for gasoline even more...

If that happens I will probably be the only boater left with twin big blocks on the west coast.

A pricing "misunderstanding" between McGrath's fuel distributor and an air service apparently was responsible for a big chunk of a 150 percent hike in the price of gas at the town's single pump last week. The Tundra Drums reports that Crowley Petroleum Distribution is saying it charged customers 72 cents a gallon more than it should have and will refund that much to about 20 people who paid more than $9 a gallon in the past 10 days.
Still, gas costs about $2.50 a gallon more than it did all winter. Crowley has said it had to boost the price because cheaper barged-in gas had run out and it had to rely on air-shipped gas for the Yukon River community. A Crowley spokesman said he was alerted to the error by the mayor, who was quoted a lower price for air-shipping gasoline. [/SIZE][/FONT]
