We have a 98 270se and looking for the proper procedure to fire up and use the AC and Generator.

As far as I know for the generator, make sure the seacock valve is open and push the start button to start it, make sure water is flowing out.

I assume AC is the same way. Make sure the valve is open, make sure shore power or generator is going , flip the switch on, Cross fingers. I did read about the AC needing to be primed before it will work if it's taken out of the water (it is, we trailer is). But then so read if the generator is running then that should prime the ac automatically and should be good to go.

Am I missing anything? Check or do anything else first?

Running the generator will not prime the a/c pump. At the dock on shore power if the a/c pump is running but will not prime, stick a hose into the outlet on the side of the boat for a minute or 2 then try it again. taking the boat for a ride will usually prime it for a/c use while away from the dock.

Ah okay, so if I'm already out moving on the water, the ac should be primed and ready to fire up? All I would have to do is turn the AC on?

Same for the generator? Just turn it on?

Pretty much. I have heard of some boats actually need to get on plane to prime the a/c pump.
You may want to prime it at the dock (2 mins.) fire up the gen and than the a/c and be on your way.
