I have a Quicksilver Commander 3000 on my 99' 240DA. I am curious on how to remove the unit from the boat. I have removed and rotated the thin aluminum trim plate, but it did not expose any fasteners. Do I need to 'pop' the center button (the one that allows throttle only) out? I tried to pry it, but it didn't want to budge. Due to fear of cracking it, I gave up. I also backed out a small allen-head set-screw that was on the underside of the throttle/shifter arm, but it appeared to do nothing, so I put it back.
I'm pretty sure to get it all the way out, I will have to remove the headliner in the mid-berth, but how do I remove it from the inner fiberglass cockpit liner in the first place?
