I'm sure someone is gonna look at this and think... "huh - that's easy" but this is my first time pulling fuel injectors and what looks easy apparently has a trick to it
I'm trying to pull te injectors on my 5.0L MPI to have them professionally cleaned- It looks pretty easy - I've depressurized the system, taken loose the IAC bracket that sits on top of the fuel rails... taken off the 4 bolts holding the fuel rail in place and the rail is loose enough to wiggle slightly. At this time the fuel rail will not lift off - it's held in place by some mesterious force (no bolts - allready checked)
The question is now the normal procedure from here....
Thanks

- Do I go ahead and unclip the fuel injectors from the rail before removing the rail (I've already unclipped the wires to them)?
- Are the injectors just held in place by the pressure from the fuel rail? there are no apparent bolts on them and I don't believe they are screwed in.
- Is it possible (or not recommended) to pull the rail with the injectors attached (making it easier to unclip the injectors from the rail)?
- Any helpful tips?
Thanks
