How to remove all the outdated stuff?

My 420AC has the typical standard electronics set up when it comes to 1998 electronics. Everything is till connected but I have also added a Garmin 4208 slaved to the autopilot and that is how I do most if not all of my navigating.

I want to clean things up a bit by removing the NAV 398 GPS and what ever the device is that is connected and next (top two devices on left side of wheel) to it as well as remove the old VHF radio.

If I were to just unplug these and remove them without cutting wires and cut a space for the 4208 to fit in their place would there be any issues with the way the radar 40xx works? I read that the Raymarine stuff is all hooked together.

Someone will chime in that knows this vintage better. I don't think that radar does a chart overlay, which requires the heading sensor. I suspect it will work stand alone.

I'd try unplugging or removing the fuses to kill the devices you want to remove to find out!
