How to raise the outboard unit to trailer position?

1. I have a sig 21 bowrider 2003--and need to raise the outboard unit to trailer position so I can check the intake hole for the speedometer (that is now not working). I cannot find instructions to do this--the boat is in the water.

Be advised... I thought my trailer button was broken... you really have to push it hard and hold it for it to work. Found out others have experienced this also. So don't be timid when trying the button.

That's so you don't inadvertantly lean against it and raise the OD while underway.
