My dad has a 2000 340 that came with the enclosure, but it is proving to be most difficult to install. It has this little rubber channel that pushes into the windshield and then zippers at the top. We have tried top first, bottom first, and every other way imaginable to our feeble minds, and cannot get it installed. Does anyone have a good way of doing this?

On a different boat when I had the same system, I found it was easiest to just start the zipper, then insert the channel in to the track on the windshield by sliding it up in to the channel then pushing down to kind of "snap" it in. Once the rubber channel is in the window track, zip the zippers. It is best to do this in the sun or on a somewhat warm day which helps it stretch.

Ditto above but, I had mine changed to clip-on snaps when I had the tops redone a year after I bought the boat. I wasn't a fan of that design and mine had shrunk to the point of significant difficulty during the installation. The corners also kept popping out of that channel due to shrinkage! I understand Great Lakes makes the exact replacements for your style installation. It may be worth checking that out too.

It is time to get the heat gun out to warm up isenglass keep it 18 inches away and move it around alot.

Pop out the upright support on both sides that attach to windsheild. zip up zippers and insert the rubber into channels. Once every thing is all together you can push up on the upper visor frame and put the upright back in. You can try just undoing one upright first. Good luck Rich

On my 330 it has a similar set up. I zip the top and the sides, then get out on the bow and tilt the inside edge of he plastic tee shape into the groove at one end, and work it along putting inside edge first and then outside edge pushed in the groove. Your results may vary.

We actually got it mostly done. We started the zippers about 2 inches and then put in the rubber part. It still took us over an hour and there is about a 2 foot section that will not zip due to it being too tight. I am going to take the heat gun out there this week.

What I have to do is install the entire zipper length across the windshield, release all rear bimini vertical support poles, and snap the rubber into place. Then i use the vertical support poles adjustment (make them longer), connect the poles in place (to the boat). And then I pull the bimini frame until it snaps into the tightest position. Hope this helps, I had the same problems on my new to me boat. This is the only way that I could get to work.

That heatgun would scare me ..................
