I went to my local marine shop to get my anodes, and the kits didnt match up,What I mean is they had the one kit which comes with the horseshoe,2 trim arm and 1 circle anode,This kit is for the older bravo 3 "before 2003 which I was told by PO this is a 1999"
Now the other kit is for 2003 or newer and comes with horse shoe,2 trim arm,2 circle and a prop anode.
Now the guy was telling me if mine is a 99' I should have room for only 1 circle disc and if I have 2 then my drive is newer then a 99',,,But I said if that was true I should have the threaded hole in the prop shaft to accept the prop anode, which I dont.
He said that maybe sometime down the line the lower end might have been replaced? I guess so but if thats the case I would think it would have the newer threaded prop shaft that accepts the anode? unless they used old parts and just got a new casing?
Im not sure just guessing around,I seen a serial number on the gimbal housing that says F214175 I tried googling it and nothing really came up. I mean its not a big deal I just got the older anode kit and bought a single disc but im just curious,So if anyone knows where to run this serial number or can shed some light on what might be going on,let me know. Thanks

You could try contacting Mercruiser with the serial number you have and they could probably tell you. I've called them in the past and they were very cooperative. I don't have the number anymore, but I got it by spending a minute or two on google.
