This is a photo I took today at work. It just shows the importance of why not to drink and opperate a boat.
52 mph and a sudden stop with a tree. Broke all the mounts of the twin engines. Brock the water tank, batteries, seats, everything inside loose. It was a nasty accedent. Yes it is still under investigation.

Oops. Any pics of the engines/interior? That damage to the structure itself doesnt look so bad. But...how do you hit a tree with the above water portion of the bow?! I could see ripping the drives off at 50 mph when you hit something you cant see...

They hit a rock island, drove the boat up the rocks, it a spruce tree dead center, and sprun back into the water. Hard to belive, but thats what happened. if you look closly at the bow, you will see bark inside the hole.

No, thats not my boat, I work for a SR dealer and i just liked the black hull boat in front of the house. The advantage of working for a dealer is able to take many different SR out on the water. This just happends to be my fav.

If that boat was a Sea Ray it wouldn't have had any damage. :smt043:smt043

If it were a Sea Ray it wouldnt be going 52MPH .

(Well maybe a Pachenga...)

On a serious note, that sounds like a very bad accident. Was anyone killed?
