I used muffs to run pink into the motors today, First ran salt away thru them and then connceted the pink. It took about 4 gallons per motor. Does that sound like the right amout for a 4.3L?

nope, that way only works if you DRAIN THE WATER FIRST, then pour it in.Because you will never know if you have the correct amount untill the spring.
In the spring you will either have a cracked block and manifolds or you got very lucky and didnt crack anything.A typical 5.7 takes about 2 Gal. in the block and about 3/4 of a gallon in each manifold. If you can ,sample the block mix and test it with a A/F tester to check the freeze level.

You should ck out the thread for 290 dancers 94 to 97 my. A lot of good info on it

I usually run 5 gallons through my 5.7 - Drain it first, Run the pink through and then drain it again. I verify every drain is running pink.

Lk you should keep the pink in the engine all winter it contains rust inhibitors.

Too late, Already in storage. I just like triple checking to make sure everything got protected.
