I am looking at buying a trailer and I need to find out how much a 2000 Sundancer 260 DA weighs, wet?

I am looking at Aluminium, painted or Galvanized, there is a place near Seattle that has anything could need.

Thanks all

About 7200# wet...according to the Sea Ray web site.

You can download the specs from Sea Ray's web site http://www.searay.com/boat_graphics/electronic_brochure/company1729/1C1_27_74DERNX0W039.pdf

The dry weight is 6200 pounds. If you had full tanks of fuel water and waste on board that alone would be close to another 1000 pounds on top of that. Plus if you have any other things on board that needs to be taken into account as well. To be on the safe side you may want to plan for a loaded weight of 8000 pounds.

Thanks guys, I saw the 6200 on the site but wanted to get the experts opinions on the wet weight.

$5000 for a new 8k alum trailer seems to be a good price.

Get a triple axle trailer, brakes on two axles (I have three axles, have had others tell me they are sorry they got only two). Aluminum, salt water package (even if you are in fresh), SS calipers and discs too. You can find a deal on eBay, I've seen them go for way less than $5K. Shop around.

I have a King Trailer, triple axle. It's "the saltwater trailer". I highly recommend it. Call Mike McKeirney at Boat Country 425-870-8768 or 425-259-6126 and tell him Todd Olason said to call him. I have the same boat and it's 8440 including the trailer. The trailer handles the boat beautifully.

Thanks on the trailer suggestions, Todd I am leaning toward Alum since they seem to be the same cost as Galv. I really do like the looks of the King and you have tested is for me fully I am sure.

Yeah I really like the King because of the stainless steel brakes, lines and the "eliminator" hub system(on that link). If you're going to be going into Saltwater, I believe the galvy's hold up better than the aluminum ones, but I'm not positive, I've never owned one and have only heard that.

Either way, best of luck.

Forgot to add, get the Torsion Axles, it's like independent suspension on a trailer. You don't want the leaf springs.

I finally found one, a Tuff Trailer from the NW. Alum, tripple 9100# rating, stainless kodiak disc on all 3 axles, Torsion dexter axles, everything I was looking for. Now I can get to Seattle.

Thanks all for your suggestions
