How much anchor chain?

Thanks. that makes me comfortable about changing over. Any advice on changing the screens on my porthole oval windows

The screens came in two different styles. The earlier version had the screen and gasket as one part. If the screen ripped you could cut it out and still use the gasket. The new version comes with a separate gasket and screen. The screen fits into a small groove all the way around the inside of the gasket.

The link below will help you figure it out. Once the gaskets are swapped over for the new type you can replace the screens easily.

Your windlass only "sees" (feels?) 20 feet at a time, (or whatever the depth is). The rest of it is either sitting in your locker or on deck, or is laying quietly on the bottom.
