I have a 3/4 ton Suburban with 265 75R 16 Goodyear Wrangler Silent Armor. I have 88K total on 2 sets of tires. We got 49K on the firtst set and the balance on the current set. We tow about 4K a year with the rest being city miles. What kind of mileage are you getting from your tires?

Depends on the tires! Good tires vs. bad tires vs. cost. I've had 40,000 mile tires go 45,000 and 60,000 mile tires only go 50,000. There is a lot of variation due to heat, cold, outside vs. inside storage etc., that wreak havoc predicting how long they will last.

60-80k miles on Michelin Cross Terrains. Good tires, but expensive. Decided to try something different this time on the dealer's recommendation, so now running Pirelli Scorpion STR-A. Might have been a mistake to change, but sometimes it's good to try something new. Don't even have 1,000 miles of the Pirellis, so no firm results from them other than that they do seem to go round and round okay.

I went to an All-Terain tire because I don't have 4-wheel drive. It has made a huge difference getting up steep ramps. Not sure what kind of mileage I'll get though.

2000 Excursion 4x4 7.3 diesel - weight 8,993 lbs. 12,000 lb winch on the front

Original Firestones blew out

Replaced them with Goodyear Wranglers, load range E - got 73,000 miles on the first set so I bought them again

I get around 16 in town, 22 on the highway @ 60 mph

If I run 70-75 it drops down to 17

Towing the 290 Sundancer it gets 9 @ 60 mph
