How many GPH does my generator use???

i have a westerbeke 6.5 kw, just looking for a ballpark on how many gallons per hour the thing uses.

My 5k Kohler used 0.5GPH. I'd say that your genny uses just a touch more (~0.65GPH).

My 1988 390EC with a 6.5KW generator burned right at 1 GPH ............at any rate, that is a good approximation to use when trip planning or figuring out how long to stay anchored.

My 4.0 uses .35 gph, I have it connected to my fuel flow system.

If I just wanting to charge the batteries up I get my Honda out it burns a gallon every 6 hours, did I just say this out loud on CRS!

Agree with using 1gph for planning purposes. It has served me well for years.
