Just looking for ways to store it while it's not in use at a covered slip.

This is a great question. I had a single finger pier to one side. I would pull my dinghy up onto it. It's a floating dock/pier, so it is easy. In order to keep a finger dock available, I offered to move another one out of the way of a larger boat (Aarrh & Aarrh) and I put that one on the other side of my boat.

Returning to dock:
Come off plane and move dinghy to forward stbd cleat.
Idle in and back into slip and tie up
Move dinghy back to finger dock and slide up onto dock for clean - up

It's a slick little operation for us. Also, the dinghy serves as a step ladder to board that side of the boat when required.

I have floating docks with a finger on both side - I filled in the back 4' of my dock like a deck and store the dinghy there.

We keep our boat in dry storage, so I can't leave the dinghy separate from the boat. Before I come into the retrieval area, I take the motor off, and lift the dinghy up onto the bow of the boat and leave it there until next time. I can do it alone, but I usually get my wife or a friend to help. Next trip, after we leave the retrieval area, it goes back in from the bow. Use to deflate it each time. Much easier now. Underway, we put the motor on and pull the dinghy with the bow up on the swim platform.

Hi, We lay it up side down on 45 Degree angle on to our table with a 6ft cable lock and take the 4hp 4 stroke home.
JG.

either on the swim platform or the foredeck. I wish I could just tied it up in the water but it would be a mess down here inside one week.
