There must be something simple I'm overlooking but I don't want to break the fixture. I've tried gently spinning it off and looking for somewhere to insert a screwdriver. What's the secret to opening up the fixtures in the salon headliner so that I can replace burnt out bulbs?

Thanks,

Cheryl

Just grab it with both hands/fingernails and pull it straight down. There are springs (like a mouse trap) that hold it up in there. Watch out for the springs when it releases!

I use 2 small flat pry bars to "pinch" the bezel between the flat bar and my thumbs and pull straight down. I usually pull it down just far enough to see where the springs are located and adjust the position to make sure my hands are not directly underneath them. Be careful not to pry against the headliner material. If you want to warm up, just trip a mouse trap with your fingers, that way you won't even feel it if you grab it in the wrong position.
