How do you find out actual sale prices of used boats?

For all of you that have bought and sold your Sea Rays, how do you find out actual sale prices.

It seems that the asking prices listed on the internet under brokers, boats.com or yachtworld.com could be very inflated -- how can you really know what your boat is worth or what a particular boat you are interested in is worth when you don't find out the price it actually sold for?

It's pretty model specific. You give them a year, model, make, and propulsion type, and they can look it up.

hi there im in the uk just got searay 2004 fully loaded from florida . 260 dual prop 50 l mpi wiht 75 hrs on it real nice boat paid 29k back in uk with new tralier think it was great deal as in uk same boat 45k :thumbsup: yoyo

Yacthworld.com has a backend section that brokers have access to. It lists every detail about asking price, selling price, time on the market, etc. Any willing broker can sit down and show you what things have sold for in your area and around the country. It looks like Jim has offered up a willing broker.

I have helped many of our members in the past, and am more than willing to do so in the future. In this economy most brokers have more time than money. If you can swing it, this is a great time to buy a boat.
