how do these controls work??? pic attached.

2 would be shift and 2 would be throttle. imo, not as easy as seperate controls further away from each other like usual v-drive shifting or normal quicksilver outdrive controls

center handles are throttles....outers are transmissions......not as easy as separate controls but not as quirky as all in ones IMO.

I learned something today, thanks!

Are these like what you see on the go fast boats with twins?

Same controls on cruisers inc also

They are actually on a 01 290DA i was looking at. so these are not original?

You would think they would use different shaped knobs for the throttles and shift levers, like they do on airplanes. Grabbing the wrong one when in a hurry could be catastrophic.

My Formula had a Levorsi setup. The shifters are way shorter than the throttles, pretty much impossible to mixup. They also had smaller, albeit the same shape, knobs.

i didn't mind it other than the fact the shifters were short so they required a firm hand compared to traditional v-drive controls.

I suspect they replaced the plastic shifters that can be hard to shift if not maintained. I don't see an issue with them. They are probably a better quality shifter than what came with the boat.

Correct, not standard issue. Besides, it's pretty easy to tell if you look at the install. It's covering up a warning sticker and you can see the mounting holes from the original control box. However, assuming it was installed well (which isn't all that hard), it should pose absolutely no issues. Personally, I would prefer this over the original, single controls as I feel it allows me more finite control since they're more "accurate".

Exactly!

I do like my Teleflex controls!
