how do I replace the wired remote control cable from the CD unit?

Hi, I am upgrading the CD unit and need to replace also the wired remote control at the driving dash unit on a 340 sundancer 1999, but the cable tha goes from the CD unit seems to go to the front of the boat and not directly to the helmet, any advice?

In most cases, that wire is installed before the deck and hull are joined. It usually runs along the under side of the deck - under the headliner and across the cabin door entryway. It might, in your case, go forward first. For most boats, it is a HUGE PIA to re-wire it. Your manual might show you where it is routed.
