How do I get to starter

As you can see in my signature I have a 1998 230 SS with a 7.4 EFI 454 with a BIII. My starter has gone bad and there is almost no room to reach it let alone get tools in to work on it. I was wondering if anyone with a similar problem had any ideas or tricks they have used before I start. Thanks for your help.

2 catchfish---if you are thinking about standing on your head--then your half way there--these bolts are only 9/16",and if you can get them at least broke loose then you can put a child in the bilge to get them out--stuff a piece of foam under it so it doesn,t fall on their hand--there is only 2 bolts--box end wrench works best,and if you have a GEAR WRENCH:thumbsup:much easier.if you don't have any gear wrenches,make that your next x-mas present:grin:

At least mine are on top!! The rest of everything stinks. I kinda like standing on my head. kinda like brake dancing.......Thats why i'm bald!!! to many sundancers!!
