Hey Roy, were you able to find a manual? I bought the same boat yesterday. I can find similar manuals online, but not the specific one for the 1997 280 Sun Sport.

Searay often only shows the manual in one year, usually the last year, of the model run. So of the model was essentially the same from say 1996-2001 you may only find info under 2001.
