They are on a PERKO, Sea Ray part number 1776904 that is mounted to the top of my tower.

I tried prying them out, but it looks they they are either stuck or not removable. It seems like there should be a spring in the bottom connection, but i tried really hard and it looks like there isn't. One is burned, and I want to change both of them to LED. Any suggestions?

It should just pop out. Sounds like it may be corroded in there. Take a small screwdriver and gently pry it out.

Yep, looks like the 30mm festoon... it must be corroded pretty bad if it does not come out easy.

I believe the spring is that tab that goes all the way across the top.

Yep, pry them out. They will probably break, but you are replacing them, so no biggie.

Yep, yep and yep to each of the above. I had the same problem when I replaced the nav light on my 2008 280DA....the rear bulb was stuck and wouldn't budge. I little prying broke it out.

nope....they push down and then take them out...they're spring loaded.....if they dont spring down it must be corroded pretty good....wait till ya try to put led's in there.

Thanks guys. I bought some LEDs to replace them with. I'll give it a try and report back.

Summertime is coming up and I'm trying to get the boat ready. We have boat-up fireworks every Friday and Saturday night down here, so we'll be spending lots of time on the hook.

Can't speak to the size, but the tab being the spring is correct.

If they are corroded in there that bad, you may want to consider replacing the entire unit. If corrosion and a new one is not in the cards, you may want to remove the unit and coat the corrosion in vinegar and baking soda and toothbrush it off. Check the lenses while you are in there. If they are milky white, they are shot. I don't know if you can even buy new lenses. If you cruise / anchor overnight, proper nav lighting is a must IMO.

Spray a little WD40 on the ends and let it soak a bit before you pry them out. Be careful when you put the LED's in. They are MUCH more fragile and it takes some force to get them in. If you push too hard they will bend/break (you can guess how I know that). You might want to not break the old ones taking them out - just sayin'.

I suggest you be worried that the fixture is not sealing properly and will quickly ruin your new LED's that must be in a sealed and dry fixture. LED's are not as tolerant of moisture as the old sealed bulbs.
