How did you guys mount your aft cabin TV's (340DA)?

Hello, everybody. I've seen all kind of photos of 32" +/- TV's mounted to the bulkhead above the aft birth on 330 and 340 dancers but I haven't yet figured out how they were mounted. I've got a rather significant curve to my bulkhead in that area. At the moment I'm planning on buying a TV mount with 15 degrees of tilt (the max I could find) and then shim the mount with properly finished wood to make up the rest. I think this would work but it's going to require a bit of trial and error to get a nice mount that looks acceptable.

Have you guys found a more elegant way to mount your TV's in this area? Or perhaps everyone is doing this in their own way? Or is it possible the 99 340DA is the only rear with this wild curve going on?? Thanks in advance for the tips.

Well shoot. I guess I'll post with photos when I get this done. I assume I'll be the first!

Can't really speak to the '99, but my '07 has a pretty much flat bulkhead that originally housed the factory 26 inch TV, and had plenty of additional room to accept the 32 inch I replaced it with. I did have to do a little surgery to extend the dimensions of the original shroud cutout, but everything went right back in the space with just a minor adjustment/replacement of the mount location on the actual bulkhead.

I should also note that the actual bulkhead itself appears to be made of actual wood, covered in the padded vinyl liner used throughout the cabin. It just screwed right in with no additional backer needed.....fits nice and snug/secure.

Dale (aka 'MasterFab') is a regular poster on many threads....he makes a mount for the bulkhead that is hinged....you may want to contact him and see if he will make a mount for you....

Very good. Thank you for the tips. I'm going to do some measuring this weekend and decide how close I can or cannot get without custom gear. If I have to toss the $19 mount I ordered, so be it.

Thanks again, guys.
