Hot Water pump on 2001 260 Sundancer

Hello from England. Am hoping you can help me?

My 2001 260 Sundancer's hot water supply is weak, as if the water pump is not powerful enough. The cold is fine but hot tends is fairly hopeless, especially the shower.

Has anyone had this issue and is there is a fix? I'm guessing a new, more powerful pump might help.

Thanks in advance

Try cleaning the filter to the water pump.

There's only one pump for both hot and cold. Wonder if you don't have a restriction in your hot water lines somewhere.

First off... Welcome to the board!

Now, about your problem. I would check for mineral deposits @ the water heater outlet. As already stated, hot and cold water use the same pump. If I had this problem I'd start looking at the hot water heater and work my way forward looking for deposits in your lines and kinks.

Also try removing and cleaning the filter/mesh (aerator) at each faucet. Minerals and debri can also accumulate there and restrict water flow.

I also wonder if the problem could be inside the water heater itself? I don't know; just wondering. Can corrossion inside the heater restrict flow?

Haven't tried it on a water heater, but for teakettles that lime up, filling it up with room temperature vinegar dissolves the lime totally.

Also, check the valves on your manifold, as each line, either hot or cold, has a seperate valve.

There is a check valve on hot water heater to prevent hot water mixing with cold. maybe was placed wrong way after winter or check valve is failing? water hose from or to water heater has kink somewhere?

I had the same problem. It turned out to be a stuck check valve in the water inlet (blue hose going into the tank) on the hot water heater. I replaced the water inlet with the built in check valve, and that resolved the problem. As a quick fix, you can empty the tank and drill out the check valve in the water inlet until you get the new inlet.....
