Hi. Need the hose's for between the strainers and sea cocks. It's like a reinforced hose with wire and the wires are starting to come thru the exterior of the hose. So, think I need new.

Where do folks buy their hoses for this area of the boat? do you know the size that are needed or that I would need. I am not up at my boat, I'd like to purchase online before I return.
thanks.

If it's 1-1/2", I think I have it in stock. If not, I can get it for you next day. I'm about 35 minutes North of you. If I can be of help, let me know.

You didn't say if this was for your engine or for your AC or other "systems" on the boat.

The OEM Sea Ray hose did not hold up very well on my boat. I now a few other folks here have had the same issues and about 3 years is all the OEM stuff is good for from the 2003 vintage.

I've had very good luck with the Trident Marine hose:

and have used the 1" #100-250 product and it looks new and is now 3 years old. This is for my generator, AC, livewell and other systems that are not engine related.

The engines on the boat use the corrugated #252 stuff... better than the OEM Sea Ray used as well... That's big hose for the diesels and if you don't have sharp bends, you may not need the corrugated hose....

In a shameless plug for my book, here's a draft of the website on the "Spares and Repairs" chapter and you can see the Trident hose in the top picture:

Make sure you replace the hose clamps...

What Gary said. My boat has it on the AC strainer.

Do you know what size it is .i need all 4 i have 454 s, genset and ac. I think your boat will have the same size

Not off the top of my head. My boat has outdrives so I don't have engine intakes and I don't have a genset either. The AC hose isn't more than 1" but it could be 3/4" I don't know without looking and the boat is 3 hours away.

Large diameter reinforced marine hose is very expensive and since it is cut to length, it isn't usually returnable. Don't take chances....go measure to be sure what you need.

Interesting. The Trident hose Sea Ray used on Just Ducky is holding up extremely well. I keep looking for defects and keep finding none.

My boat (and several other 2003 Sport Yachts I've seen) didn't use Trident hose. It was some other brand that was so cheap, even the green stripe started to flake off. The outer rubber started to crack when the boat was a year old.
