Honeymoon island causeway , put it??

Planning a trip to Honeymoon Island with a Sea Ray 18.5. Read on line that there is no boat ramp on island however you can launch small watercraft from causeway leading to island.. For those of you that have been there, Do you think my 18. ft sea ray would be fine from that launch area??? I did see a ramp near Clearwater as a back-up Thanks BobH

I don't know about the causeway ramp, but the Seminole ramp in downtown Clearwater is a good one.

thanks.. After you put in at Seminole in Clearwater, do you normally stay on the inland waterway up to the Island or do you go south then out the waterway through Clearwater to get to Honeymoon Island??

I don't know about the causeway ramp, but the Seminole ramp in downtown Clearwater is a good one.

+1 on seminole boat ramp, I launch my 280 there with no problems, stay ICW because its only 20 or so minutes to Honeymoon

Trip went well, thanks. We put in at Seminole no issues, easy parking, easy launch even for a rookie. We cruised north in the water way and anchored for lunch then headed south just on the south side of the Clearwater overpass. We anchored and snorkled around for a while.. Next time we will try the ocean side of Clearwater.
