Holy Smokes! Whats up with Geico?

Gieco may have raised their rates for boat and Yacht policies but they sure are competitive on auto insurance. I got my renewal from AAA on my vehicles, a 2012 BMW 750I, 2014 Ram 2500 HD Laramie Crew Cab 4WD and a 2016 Maserati Quattro Porte. The Premium was going to be over $5000 for the year! up over $1500 mostly due to the collision coverage on the Maserati. I got a quote form Gieco for better coverage for $3000 all in for the year. I gave AAA who I have been with for 20 plus years a chance to sharpen their pencil but they would not budge. I have not had a claim in ten years no tickets and a credit rating in the exceptional range. I cancelled and went with Giego in a heartbeat.

My auto insurance went up about $50 last December. As I was opening the letter a Geico commercial came on TV. Since last November my Geico (BoatUS)boat insurance policy went down $2, I thought I'd give them a try for the cars. Rather than do it online I drove to a local agent with an office.

He tried giving me all kinds of discounts for this and that, but their rate was still $200 above what I had. The 50 bucks wasn't so bad after all.
