Holes, Holes and more holes.

After my install yesterday of the transom mounted remote trim switch(~video here) I kept on task today of drilling holes in my boat. 1 for a Standard Horizon RAM+ mic and two others to allow fresh air to my HeaterCraft hydronic heater.

I like the RAM+ mic. I have the same brand of VHF radio and the same issues with hearing it while under way. I'm assuming there is no way to directly connect this style of mic direct to the radio in place of the standard push-to-talk mic?
