Holding Tank Packets

Hakanamatata - Get some of the Tank Teria as well and use both products together.

agree 100%....this is what I did.....the Tank Teria is very concentrated and does a good job cleaning up clogged and/or neglected systems......then use regular Noflex to maintain things once the system is clean....

I pass my gas dock, and pump out every time going to my slip, its 100% free. and I do it my self too as I flush it so many times I feel bad making someone else do it.

I pump out after long weekend with lots of use or when I hit the 1/2 mark.

the the head is there for a reason. 99% of the time I dont use it for anything other then a 3 AM pee, or a moring poop. other wise I am in the water or off the platform. ha

I will order both and thanks again for the info as I wasn't looking forward to oragamying myself behind the engine to get to where the sensors are on the waste tank.

If you use Noflex Digester or a comparable product that depends on live bacteria (Odorloss or K.O), make sure you flush the tanks well to remove the old formaldehyde chemicals before you add the new product. Make sure you don't mistakenly add "the blue stuff" after starting to use the Noflex product or you will kill the good bacteria and have to start over.

Excellent Advise.

We've been using Aqua-Kem but I'm going back to No-flex. Our holding tank has so much sludge built up from the previous owner who rarely emptied/flushed the tank that I need to do something soon. The last time we had really hot weather we could smell a strong ammonia smell in our galley area and it was actually coming from the head. A bunch of Aqua-Kem later, the smell finally went away but I think that No-Flex will be a better long-term solution. The mechanic that is installing an overboard discharge pump on our boat suggested that we switch. He said that some of the products (like the one we are using) contain formaldehyde and that they will eventually cause a break-down of the hoses in our system. I do not want to deal with the cost/hassle/smell of something like that happening in the future.

Started using Noflex with this boat and so far, so good. Took advantage of the volume discount. Judging on what I've used so far I think I'll us about 2 bottles of it each season.
It seems expensive at first, but if I only use 2 bottles a season it really isn't.
It does tend to cling to the seal if it isn't fully dissolved requiring a quick clean of the seal with a toilet brush, but I've found that keeping the seal lubricated with a little vegetable oil and letting the Noflex dissolve in the bowl for a minute or two before flushing solves that problem.
