Noticed that my holding tank indicator says empty when empty but never anything else. This is a 2013 so not that old... if the float was an issue why would it read empty? Luckily I can visually see because it's so clean but not sure what the right repair is.

On my tank the issue was that the wire connections came off on two of the three sensors. I put new butt splices on the wires and it was right back to working.

After 4 years, there might have been enough moisture to do the same to yours.

Those float switches get gummed up and won't slide up and down the rod. I've read on here that you can put laundry detergent in the tank with some water and go for a ride to shake it up and clean it... have not tried it yet.

Alternatively, you pull the floats out of the top of the tank and clean them... crappy job though

Mine acted the same way. I did the crappy job by removing the 3 sensors and cleaning them. Works great now.

Mine only reads Empty 1/2 or full If It is between empty and 1/2 the meter is blank. Perhaps it is working, but your tank is less than 1/2 full.

The dish washer soap works ... Cleaning the sensors is awful job.....

U can flush cascade in the toilet .... I pour like a cup in the toilet.... swirl it around so its not a solid anymore then flush ... Then I also drop a dissolving pod down the pump out fitting. Fill it half with water.. and take a bumpy ride... then I pump out the following week... been years of doing this no issues .

All good ideas to try. The tank looks so clean. I see 3 wires with 3 caps on top. Guessing those are the sensors?

Does the empty light go out once it fills up? If so I thought mine was the same way and it just was that I emptied it before it got to 1/2 full. The tank looks almost full and 1/2 just lite up so that could be your issue. Your just pumping it out too soon.

It does go on when empty. I just pumped it today. But I took a visual of the tank and it was almost to the top cap and no lights indicating anything

The Calgon and Laundry detergent method worked for me in my old boat.

Hair will bind up the floats also, don't ask me how long woman's hair gets in there but it does and it ties thing up. So a physical removal of it is in order vs detergents.

if you do remove the float sensors for cleaning be aware that they have magnets inside and they are directional.....if you install the sensor back on the shaft incorrectly it will not work......ask me how I know..... :-(

Just an update. I ended up fill tank with fresh water and pumping that out a couple times and everything came back to life.

If you will use noflex digestor regularly then you won't have issues.

Cheapest place to get it I've found is fisheries supply. 101.00 for 6 and free shipping.
