First time I have seen this one. I just scored a sealand one for 25.00...on Ebay. Just have to look. That one looks like it is homemade.
 
It's a couple of "P" traps with clean out drains from under a sink or schedule 40 PVC "U"s with access ports and a couple of fittings to adapt the ends. $7 tops at a big box store. Fill a couple of nylon knee high stockings with activated charcoal from a pet store and put one in each end. Attach it to the vent hose. Done. Maybe $20 total and that's enough charcoal for two years.

You could cut your existing filter in 1/2, refill it and re-attach it with PVC fittings for about $10 including charcoal.
